Here we are in Rocky Point, Spring Break 2019, with gorgeous weather, beautiful beaches, and tons of college students with lots of energy! The Las Palomas Golf Resort is filled to capacity and people are having a great time with their friends. The people who are lucky enough to own condos in Rocky Point are really seeing a positive return on their investments!

One of the most popular activities is hanging around the heated pools, enjoying the Happy Hour drink specials and food from the onsite restaurants. There have to be at least 30 people packed into each hot tub. The ocean breezes make it a little cool to float in the lazy river, so people see happy to hang out in the pools and hot tubs.
Vendors are coming by the beach palapas with the latest in ASU, U of A, and NAU items. Bamboo drink holders, ponchos, shot glasses and hats are popular. Of course the vendors always have lots of silver jewelry and sunglasses for sale as well. New this year are pineapple drink stands offering all the popular fruity drinks along with well sculpted mangos.
Live music at the pool bars brings the Celebration to life. We love to see people enjoying our beautiful Sea of Cortez. The clean beaches offer the perfect spot for a volleyball or bocce ball game. Lots of young people can also be seen playing soccer. The best part is that if you work up a sweat, just take a quick dip into the ocean to cool down quickly.
Jet ski rentals as well as banana boats are even more popular this week, as temperatures reach the 80s. The beaches are never too packed, always lots of room for swimmers, floaters and paddleboarders.
New Helmet Law Enacted
Puerto Penasco, aka Rocky Point has just enacted a new helmet law for those riding ATVs on the roads. Be sure to bring your helmets along or you will pay a fine! It’s a positive sign that Mexico is concerned with the health and safety of the ATV riders.
